Ranking List of Alma Maters of CFO in A-share Listed Companies
2292 chief financial officers have disclosed their personal education background, of whom nearly almost a half have attained the bachelor degree. 584 financial officers have revealed the institutions where they graduated from, involving 289 colleges and universities. Renmin University of China and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics claimed the first place in the ranking by contributing 26 CFOs respectively.
The Ministry of Finance issued the Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises (ASBE) No. 40 –Joint Venture Arrangements
ASBE No. 40 specifies the identification and classification of joint venture arrangements and the rights and interests of the parties involved in joint venture arrangements. ASBE No. 40 will take force as of July 1, 2014 and should be implemented by all enterprises within the scope of Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises. It is encouraged that enterprises listed overseas should implement the ASBE No. 40 in advance.
The Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)intends to put the “moral” screws on certified public accountants(CPA)
The issued Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (draft for comment) involves 30 questions, including 18 areas such as conceptual framework of professional ethics, network firms, related entities, mergers and acquisitions, individual interests, business relations, significant impact, audit fees, contingent fees, acceptable level, independence of other assurance services, and code of ethics of non-practicing members etc.
The Issuance of “Rules of Expanding the Use of Cross-border RMB” in Shanghai Free Trade Zone
The Rules simplifies the procedures of RMB cross-border use in regular and direct investment projects in the pilot zone and makes specific regulations on RMB offshore loan, two-way RMB capital pool, centralized payment system for cross-border RMB, individual services of cross-border RMB and so on.
